Before I Go To Sleep written by S.J. Watson is a thriller about a 40+ year old lady who got into an accident as a young adult and lost her memory. Christine Lucas’ case isn’t very normal as she wakes up everyday as a younger version of herself and remembers most things that happened before her accident but realizes she is 20+ years older than she thought. She lives her day whilst her ‘husband’ is at work and meets a doctor who is researching her case and who helps her try to trace her memory back. Christine slowly remembers small glimpses of her life, and writes them down in a journal so she can keep track of it. Her husband has turned down any researchers or doctors help so Christine and the doctor have to keep it secret. This book brings the reader through Christine’s life and how she unravels secrets to find the truth about her whole life. I really enjoyed reading this book as it was very dramatic and left you on the edge of your seat wanting to read more. Where the writer left of at the end was a real cliff hanger and makes you think of the possible ways she deals with the problem after she realizes the truth. I recommend this to anyone who wants to get their nose into a good book because this is definitely a must!
